SPILLS HAVE GOT NOTHIN’ ON US
Environmental spills can happen in the blink of an eye and require immediate mitigation and a full team effort.
Especially when spills happen in close proximity to fish-bearing waterbodies. Deleterious substances that can harm the environment include hydrocarbons such as oils, diesel, hydraulic fluids, etc., chlorinated or saline water, sewage, and sediments. Remediating these mishaps requires clear communication and includes various efforts such as watercourse isolation, dewatering, excavations, backfilling, and stabilization.
Black Fly is here to assist in all environmental needs including fish salvages, water quality monitoring, wildlife sweeps, and erosion and sediment control. This photo displays the spill site from a downstream water quality monitoring transect where our biologists confirmed that salinity and turbidity levels were not impacted from the upstream remediation works.
