QUICK, GET IN THE SHERP

“The chance to make a real difference in the lives of these little critters is incredibly rewarding!"

Amphibian salvages are conservation-driven efforts that involve the rescue and relocation of amphibians from areas where their habitat is threatened. Amphibian salvages offer a unique opportunity to work with a diverse range of amphibian species and have a tangible impact in the realm of conservation biology. Through conducting these amphibian salvages, we are helping to ensure their survival in the face of various challenges, including habitat loss, climate change, pollution, disease and more.

At Black Fly, we use whatever it takes to get it done. You see the photo there, that’s called a Sherp, a vehicle that truly embodies our spirit of ‘getting things done’. Using a Sherp for amphibian salvage is an exhilarating experience! The vehicle's ability to traverse any terrain (be it a waterbody, ice, sand or steep hills) makes it perfect for reaching even the most remote habitats without causing damage to the environment. It can also inflate or deflate its tires by diverting its engine exhaust! All in all, It's a unique adventure that combines conservation and innovation with a bit adrenaline-fueled rush, especially when we get to use these nifty vehicles
